SOLUPROTECT®GLASS/TILES/STONE is a product of the nanotechnology. It is an ethanol-solved intelligent anti-stick-coating for smooth, non-porous, non-absorbent surfaces, such as glass, washbasins, fittings, shower cabins, bath tubs, glazed tiles, finestoneware tiles, polished stones, outside windows, winter gardens, plastic glass etc. for in- and outdoor areas. It achieves an excellent permanent chemical compound with the substrate surface and reduces at the same time the surface tension (repellent effect). The so protected surfaces are to a very high extend water-, oil and dirt repellent. Furtheron, they show considerable resistance against acids, solvents and cleaning agents. A UV-stable, naturally breathing protective layer is achieved, which is very mechanic-resistant an does not affect the appearance. The impregnated surfaces are high-pressure cleaner resistant (50-60 bar) as well as temperature resistant (up to 450° Celsius). Hardening at normal room temperature. The cleaning of the protected surfaces is considerably simplified due to the anti-stick effect. Organic substances, such as algae, moss, etc. cannot adhere anymore (for example: on facades). Furtheron, surfaces are safely protected from frost and dew, as well as from cracking by frost.
Application/Undergrounds:
SOLUPROTECT®GLASS/TILES/STONE can be applied to alcohol-resistant, compressed surfaces. For more absorbent surfaces, for example sandstone, we recommend SOLUPROTECT® STONE Open Pours Surface.

Application:
Always pre-test surface to be treated in an inconspicuous area before proceeding. SOLUPROTECT® GLASSS/TILES/STONE has good adhesion only on detergent-free, residue-free surfaces. Therefore, a pre-cleaning with detergent-free cleaners is indispensable, preferably with products from the SOLUTION assortment: ALKALLO®, FINE STONEWARE CLEANER, SOLUTION Nr.8 FINE STONEWARE CLEANER S, KRISTALLO®. Should it be necessary to use other, detergent-containing SOLUTION cleaners (for example SOLUTION Swimming Pool and Bath Cleaner for lime residue removal), the last rinse must be done with a detergent-free cleaner, as for example SOLUTION Nr.8 FINE STONEWARE CLEANER S or KRISTALLO®. Glass should be pre-cleaned with alcohol cleaner. Apply SOLUPROTECT®GLASS/TILES/STONE with a clean, soft, fuzzy-free cloth in a thin layer to residue-free pre-cleaned dry vertical surfaces (i.e. mirrors, glass, etc.). Excess coating-solution should be wiped off with the still damp cloth and the surface should be polished.
On horizontal surfaces (for example floors) the coating is applied by means of rolling, painting, or with a soft, slightly absorbent coating mop (no microfibre). The coating quantities are applied crosswise and evenly spread to small areas, so that an even distribution of the nano particles is ensured. Avoid drops and puddles. For slightly absorbent surfaces, such as fine stoneware, a second coating may be necessary. This necessity can be found out by means of the pearl off effect (water test) approx. 45 minutes after the first application. Should the pearl off effect not be sufficient, apply a second coating. For this, one can step on the surface after approx. 45 minutes with soft, clean shoes, i.e. with overshoes of felt or fleece. One litre is sufficient for one single coating of 100 – 200 m² glass or 50 – 100 m² tiles/stone. Complete protection is achieved normally after 24-48 hours. Anti-slip effect on tiles/stones is not affected by SOLUPROTECT®GLASS/TILES/STONE
